Here, we want to offer another product(s) for free or at a discount when the user purchases some big ticket items or a bundle of products.

For example: Buy 10 or more items and get an exclusive T-shirt for free.

Here is the process to do so:

  1. Go to the WordPress Admin panel > Marketing > Coupons.
  2. Create a new coupon or open an existing one. Enter the appropriate coupon code and description.
  3. Select Discount type as Fixed cart discount and set the coupon amount to zero since you are offering the main product for free.
  4. Now under the Usage Restriction tab, under Exclude products, search and enter the product you want to give for free. There’s no point in the offer if that product is already present in the cart. Keep it exclusive for offers and surprise customers.

Consider the same example above. For the exact five products, we set up a 5% off coupon. Similarly, we can set more discounts if the user purchases within a range. The more the quantity, the more the discounts.

Product-specific quantity discount

Product-specific discount applies when the cart contains a specific product in a quantity. For example, buy 5 T-shirts and get 5% off.

Here, you will have to create a coupon that applies a 5% discount when the cart has 5 T-shirts only (exact 5).
