How to set up new product commission plan using Affiliate for WooCommerce?

There are two options to assign new product commission:

  1. Exclude products
  2. Create a commission plan based on category

Excluding products

This is more convenient for small-sized stores wherein you define some four-five products as old as per your wish and directly exclude them. Rest all your other products you can consider as new products.

  1. Install and activate the Affiliate for WooCommerce plugin.
  2. Go to WordPress admin. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Affiliates > General.
  3. Under Excluded products, enter the product name or ID of the old products that you do not wish to provide commission on.

  6. Lastly, click on Save Changes.

This way the products listed here will be excluded from any commission plan you create.

Create a commission plan based on category

  1. First, create a product category called ‘New’ using default WooCommerce.

  3. Instead of doing for each product one by one, use our Smart Manager plugin to bulk assign ‘New’ category to products within seconds. Select products, use the Bulk Edit option, select the category and done.
  4. Now, go to your WordPress admin. Navigate to WooCommerce > Affiliates > Plans > Add a Plan.
  5. Name the commission plan. In this case, you can name it New Product Commission.
  6. Set the commission rate. It can be either a percentage or a fixed rate.
  7. Now select Product category > any of > New.
  8. Then in the Actions tab, choose the options that seems appropriate to you to assign commission rate to the products.
  9. Set the plan status to Active and click on Save to create the commission plan.
  10. Now you will be directed to the list of commission plans. If the ‘New Product Commission’ Plan isn’t at the top of the list, drag and drop it to the top.

Your commission plan is now set.
